I write and perform comedic shorts about all kinds of things. (Well maybe not ALL kinds, but a decent amount of kinds.) I'm a nerd/gamer and have gained a large portion of my audience from making sketches about RPGs (i.e. Skyrim). I've also been a server for more years than I'd care to admit so people have related to my restaurant sketches as well. My tone is usually upbeat with a healthy dose of self-deprecation. I also have two cats which I can occasionally coerce into costarring with me.
